Donna Lexa Art Centers is a vibrant, innovative, inclusive art community for young adults and adults of all abilities. Grounded in Donna Lexa’s groundbreaking vision that everyone should have access to the arts, the DLAC strives to eliminate barriers to any artist who has the desire to access the benefits of participating in the creative process.
open studio sessions
DLAC currently offers Open Studio sessions at our two locations in Downtown Waukesha and West Milwaukee.
Elders & caregivers program
For individuals that live with dementia or Alzheimer’s, we offer discounted open studio groups at both of our locations. As well, as on-site outreach opportunity in the community. Made possible by a grant from Bader Philanthropies, Inc. and Second Chance Foundation.
Military veterans program
These groups are exclusively for military Veterans and are provided at no cost. This program is fully supported by funding from our sponsors.
Community outreach
DLAC staff can bring the art to you in an inclusive and creative experience for all abilities.
DLAC community sites include, but are not limited to, senior housing facilities, long-term care facilities, high schools and day programs.
sales and exhibitions
At DLAC, we are proud to give our students the opportunity to sell their artwork with a commission.
Throughout the year, we participate in annual art fairs and display our students’ artwork in permanent and temporary exhibitions. Here are some of the main events/locations that we display and sell our students’ artwork:
